GIPA FOODS & GENERAL SUPPLIES LIMITED is an agro-processing and distribution company initially formed to manufacture cassava flour and starch for the local Tanzanian market. We have recently expanded our operations with an aim to expand into export markets. As part of our expansion we have relocated our office and production facilities to the Benjamin William Mkapa Export Processing Zone (“EPZ”)in Mabibo External, where we have a 3,000 square meter plot with an office, three go-downs and a yard. The EPZ is a new and modern business campus conveniently located near the Port of Dar es Salaam and the City Centre. The Company was granted an EPZA license in 2024 and is actively expanding its operations to include importation and distribution of high quality maize and cassava seeds.
The Company is managed, operated, and majority owned by by Tanzanians. Our Board of Directors is comprised of seasoned local and international executives with a wide range of experience in expertise in local and global markets.
The Company, through its business operations aims to transform lives in Africa by developing value-add local products and ancillary activities in the agricultural sector, Kilimo Kwanza (“Agriculture First”) is the focus and foundation of our activities.
